The paddocks of the Manning Valley have produced the Sydney Royal’s 2016 Grand Champion Steer – a 500 kilogram Limousin from Wingham breeders Paul and Janelle Relf.

The Relf’s 12-month old Warrigal Levi, which was the show’s Middle Weight class Champion Steer, took the top prize in a quality-packed final four.

Grand Champion Steer at Sydney Royal Show 2016 with judge Terry Nolan , Gympie, Qld ,and Ian Coghlin, Gerogery, NSW , handler Rachel Relf, and Alastair Rayner , Tamworth, NSW.

It was the first steer the Relfs have shown at the Sydney Royal.

Reserve champion Middle Weight steer was a Limousin exhibited by The Scots School, Bathurst, and bred by Austin Steer, Eltham Limousins, Trangie.

Champion Heavyweight Steer and Reserve Grand Champion was a 550kg Limousin from Don and Sarah Riley, Oakvale Limousins, Tamworth.

Reserve Champion Heavyweight Steer was a Limousin exhibited by The Scots School, Bathurst and bred by Terry & Bev Denniss, Jordenspring Limousins, Mudgee.

The Champion School Steer was a 626kg Limousin from Dubbo College Senior Campus and bred by Ben Toll Sheraton Limousins, Dubbo.

Reserve champion school steer was a Limousin exhibited by Brisbane Water Secondary College, Umina.
