49 Limousins represented the breed at the EKKA stud judging last week and were judged by Hayden Green of Summit Limousins, Mittagong, NSW. The judge commented that there has been some exceptional quality in the class exhibits and it was very hard to split them.
Junior Champion Heifer was awarded to Oakwood B-Tearz, an Oakwood Rugged Man daughter, exhibited by Elwanvale Limousins, which placed first in the Heifer 14 months and under 16 months class. Junior Reserve Champion Heifer went to Oakwood Black Sable, sired by Wulfs Spring Loaded and exhibited by Oakwood Limousins.

Senior and Grand Champion Cow was awarded to Oakwood Fiddlez, a Donna Valley Poll Fiddler daughter, exhibited by Carmen & Lannah Sowden, which won the Cow 30 months and under 48 months Class. In the Interbreed judging Oakwood Fiddlez went on to be awarded the Champion of Champions Cow, which is a first for the Limousin breed.
Reserve Senior Champion Cow was Ulster 1 Hopscotch, sired by Wulfs Waldo and exhibited by Fernvale Limousins.
The Junior and Grand Champion Bull was awarded to Oakwood Cutt Masta, a WZRK Prime Cut son, exhibited by Oakwood Limousins, which place first in the Bull 8 months and under 12 months class. Reserve Junior Champion Bull was Oakvale Dude, sired by Manali Fiction F53 and exhibited by Oakwood Limousins.
Senior Champion Bull went to Debonair Jumbo sired by Kensal Academy, exhibited by Michael & Sandy O’Sullivan, which placed first in the Bull 22 months and under 24 months class. Reserve Senior Champion Bull was awarded to Jen-Daview Polled Jactor, a Wulfs Xtractor son and exhibited by Jen-Daview Limousins.
Jen-Daview Limousins won the Pair of Bulls class. Michael & Sandy O’Sullivan won the Progeny Stakes Group Class.
