As they had done at Sydney Royal in 2014 Moss Vale stud Myers Limousins took home a best exhibit award for the breed for a senior champion female.

The best Limousin exhibit was the senior and grand champion female Flemington Courtenay F18, exhibited by Myers Limousins, Moss Vale. Pictured with the female are exhibitors Scott Myers and Samantha Beresford. Photo courtesy The Land.

This year their cow, Flemington Courtenay F18, was recognised by judge Tom Baker, Woonallee Simmentals, Furner, South Australia, as “a fantastic type of female, with lovely structure, fat depth and mobility”.

For exhibitors Scott Myers and Samantha Beresford, to win the best Limousin exhibit title two years in a row was “surreal, and very humbling”, Mr Myers said as he walked off the ring with his winner.

Yet there was also something special about this win – again, like last year, they were standing in the ring beside their best friend Hayden Green, of nearby Summit Livestock, at Mittagong, who exhibited the grand champion bull, Summit Jaguar J33.

Mr Baker considered Jaguar to be an “outstanding sire”, with a beautiful front end and with great length.

In addition to the junior and grand champion bull, Mr Green also exhibited the junior champion female, Summit Missive J24 important link .

The senior champion bull was Birubi Jupita J15, exhibited by Birubi Limousin stud, Borambola.
