Longreach Limousins of Marulan,NSW hit a high of $18,500 at its 6th Production Sale for Lot 44, purchased by Annette Tynan of Birubi Limousins, Wagga Wagga. Longreach Maxine Jetstar, Homo Polled French daughter of Donna Valley P. Maxine-Fleur by Viking, made an attractive duo with her smart heifer calf at foot by new polled French sire, GHR Polled Aftershock. She has been successfully rej
oined to Aftershock.
The second top price was $10,500 for Lot 4, Longreach Gracious Lady, another French offering, by SVL Polled Enterprise out of Donna Valley Young Lady Y243, with heifer calf at foot by GHR Polled Aftershock. She sold to Geoffrey and Jocelyn Owen of Glenola Limousins, Allans Flat, Victoria. Also on their buying list, a PTIC heifer for $3,000.
Tony and Charna Starr of Starr’s Limousins, Young, purchased five head to a top of $4,500 for Lot 8, Longreach Sophia Kreation, Reserve Jnr Champion from this year’s Canberra Royal and PTIC to Flemington Fire Cracker.

00 for a polled three-in-one unit, Lot 54 Longreach Janet’s Pride with a Homo Polled heifer calf at foot by Ivy’s Marksman, and Janet is PTIC to Wulfs Apostle.
The Brewer Family of Curemont Limousins, Nubaa NSW purchased four head to a top of $3,500 for Lot 9, heifer Longreach Patience Keepsake, PTIC to GHR Polled Aftershock.
Embryo packages topped at $900 per embryo for Lot 45, a combination of champions in Donna Valley P. Maxine Fleur and Donna Valley Poll Dictator, bought by Garry and Karen Hedger of Garren Park Genetics, Culcairn NSW.
Glyn and Anne Williams of Newton-Wood Limousins, Murrumbateman took home another show heifer, Lot 42 Longreach Kassie, PTIC to Flemington Fire Cracker for $5,000, the top price for a PTIC heifer. They also secured the only stud sire on offer, Lot 55, a five year old Interbreed Champion, Longreach Grandiose, for $5,000.
Junior member Kate Louden of Loudens 1 Limousins, Dubbo NSW, purchased the top priced unjoined heifer, Lot 51 Longreach Libertine, a polled Mandayen Vision Y329 daughter for $3,500.
The overall average for females sold was $3,800.
The sale was conducted on-property by Landmark, Goulburn with Kevin Norris as auctioneer.
