I Was Wrong
With a bit of help from Greg Withers I got it wrong.
Len and Wendy Carlson did buy a bull for $6000 at the Donna Valley Sale but
it was not the top priced bull.
Top price of $7000 was paid by Bruce and Fran Hodder of the Benika Limousin
Stud Cargo NSW.
Next highest price was $6750 paid by commercial breeder John Repper of Stawell
Vic who also paid $6500 for another bull. New Limousin members Ron and Elizabeth
Menz of Yea Vic were part of a syndicate who paid $6500 for another bull.
A total of 22 bulls made $5000 or higher in a very strong sale. Prices for all
Lots are now on the web under Completed Sales.
WA Sale
The WA Bull Sale last week had mixed results with 22 of the 32 bulls offered
selling. Top priced bull was Lysgorran X Heros sold by Geoff Lyster for $5600.
Geoff had a very good sale selling all six bulls offered for an average of $4066.
Sean and Sandy Kornaus of the Greenrange Limousin Stud sold four of five offered
to a top of $4600 and an average of $3780. Alan and Sue Padman sold their four
bulls to a top of $4600 and an average of $3550, and the Dimasi's Goodwood Limousins
sold four of five bulls to a top of $3600 and an average of $2850.
Overall the sale averaged $3409.
