The Conference is Underway!!
Eighteen people from seven countries arrived safely in
Perth on Wednesday evening and set off for Pemberton yesterday. Today they will travel via the Valley of
Giants at Walpole to Albany where they will be hosted by John and Glenda
Tomlinson at their Palmdale Limousin Stud at Manypeaks. Over the next few days they will visit
Narrogin Agricultural College, Lysgorran Limousins, Woronyne Limousins and
White Lakes Limousins before flying across to Adelaide on Monday morning.
In
Adelaide they will be joined by six more overseas visitors and will spend five
days visiting Limousin herds between Adelaide and Melbourne before joining the
core conference on Saturday 1st April.
The
core conference gets underway with the opening dinner on Saturday evening at
the Melbourne Airport Hilton Hotel. It
is not too late for Australians to book into individual core conference events
such as the opening dinner in Melbourne or the Harbour Cruise and Final Dinner
in Sydney. Contact Agritours on 02 6772

Cyclone
Harry
Our
thoughts are with the Doolan, Pedersen and Rogers families who live on the
Atherton Tablelands inland from Cairns and copped the full blast of cyclone
"Harry". The Doolans lost
sheds and fences but their house is still standing. We hope the Pedersen and Rogers families also have their houses
intact and that all of their Limousins have survived.

Kaludabah Steer
Wins at Blayney
A black Limousin steer bred by Kaludabah Limousins
and paraded by Hugh Nott of Scotts School, Bathurst was the Heavy Weight
Champion at Blayney Show. This steer
also with about 55 other Limousin steers will be shown in the 245 head Sydney
Royal Show competition on Friday 7th April. Success in the country shows prior to Sydney
suggests that Limousins will be prominent in Sydney.
