Results are up on our website
for the Northern Limousin Breeders Sale and Steplen Downs Dispersal held last
Friday conducted by MacCallum & Co of Scone.
"A magnificent
result was seen at the Northern Limousin Breeders Sale at Scone last Friday
with a complete clearance of all lots and a very healthy average on a very
even and well presented line of cattle.

The top priced bull, Premier Dauphin sold for $14,250 to a partnership
between Phil and Barbara Bricknell, King Creek Limousin Stud and Ron Short,
Lorikeet Limousin Stud. The top priced female was sold to the Wilkes Family,
Ballina Limousin Stud. The second top
price bull was purchased by the Donna Valley Limousin Stud for a son of the top
priced lot.
Prior to sale the cattle were judged by Luke Scicluna and he commented
“that the purchasers would be able to bid with their eyes closed tomorrow with
the even line of cattle on offer”. Senior Champion Bull went to the Turanville
Partnership with Chaz First Choice son, Turanville Top Choice X211 later
selling for $5,750. The Junior Champion Bull went to Terry Joy with a son of
Riviere Vue Very Good, Riviere Vue Xtreme and later selling for $4,750. The
Senior Champion Female came from within the dispersal cattle going to the
Gardner Partnership with a daughter of Leonay Matthew, Steplen Down Sally and
later selling for $4,500. The Junior Champion Female went to Charles and Vicky
Carmichael with a daughter of Chaz First Choice, Timor Black Poll Katrina 22
and later selling for $4,250.
With 111 registered
buyers the day was a fantastic result for the Limousin breed." Matt Friend, Sale Chairman.
Casino All Breeds Sale
Results are up on the web for the
Casino All Breeds Sale held on 31 July.
The Silky Oak Limousin Stud sold the top priced Limousin of the sale,
Silky Oak X-A-Quiz, at $4500.
