
The Grand Champion steer at the Adelaide Royal Show was a purebred Limousin steer bred by Sandra Keatley and Garry Collins and exhibited by Faith Lutheran School, Adelaide. The steer was also the Champion Export steer on the hoof.
Limousin steers also took out the Light and Heavy Domestic Championships on the hoof. The light domestic championship was won by first time exhibitors, Rod and Dianne Slater with a purebred steer and the heavy domestic championship was won by a purebred Limousin bred by Mandayen Limousin stud and exhibited by Emily Gommers
The O’Conner Shield team of three was victorious when their carcase scores were included in the overall result with a total of 339.5 points. The team included the Champion light domestic steer on the hoof exhibited by Rod and Dianne Slater, the Champion Export steer on the hoof bred by Sandra Keatley and Garry Collins and the steer which produced the Champion heavy domestic carcase bred and exhibited by Mandayen Limousin stud.
