
The Limousin breed scored their third consecutive Stan Hill trophy award at Sydney Royal Show. The Stan Hill trophy is awarded to the team of three purebred steers which have the highest combined carcase scores.
The Limousin team scored a total of 254 points which was 8.5 points clear of the Murray Grey team and 11.5 points clear of the Square Meaters team.
The three Limousin steers were selected by a democratic ballot by exhibitors at the show. Two steers bred by Don and Sarah Riley, Oakvale Limousins and Peter Reed, Top River Limousins were prepared by the Calrossy Anglican School, Tamworth. The third steer was bred by the Robson family, Flemington Limousins and prepared by the Brisbane Waters Secondary College, Umina Campus.
