LIMOUSIN ELECTS FIRST FEMALE PRESIDENT

Mrs Karen Hedger was elected as president of Limousin Australia for the next 12 months at the board meeting following the Annual General Meeting in Albury/Wodonga last weekend. Karen who has served on the Australian Limousin Breeders Society board for three years is the first female president in the 38 year history of the breed in Australia.

Karen operates the Garren Park Limousin stud with her husband Garry at Culcairn, NSW.

Former president, Andrew Cross, Southern Cross Limousins, Vic, was elected Senior Vice President and Damian Gommers, Mandayen Limousins in South Australia was elected Junior Vice President. Matthew Friend, Froghollow Limousins, NSW, will continue as Treasurer.

Karen welcomed the two new directors of ALBS, Jon Gaffney, Graneta Limousins, Qld and Keith MacCubbin, Cliftonview Limousins, Vic.
