
Red Rock is a relatively young Limousin stud established by Jeff and Kerrie Etheridge at Diamond Flat between Armidale and Coffs Harbour. They took just one entry to Sydney Royal, Red Rock Zucchero and came away with the Supreme Exhibit award. The May 2005 bull by Longreach Xclamation from Longreach Zuchini was bought as a calf at foot from the 2007 Partners in Progress sale and was earlier selected as the Senior and Grand Champion bull by judge Roger Evans.
Grand Champion female was Rosehill Rosie 9, a November 2006 cow with her first calf at foot. She was bred and exhibited by John and Rosemaree McCarthy, Clifton Qld and had earlier taken out the Senior Champion female award.
The judge selected Donna Valley Poll Dolly Steps by Deepfields Honeys Justice as the Junior Champion Female and Premier Velvet Touch C63 exhibited by Mark and Judy Chapple, Piralillia Limousins, Kangaroo Valley as the Reserve Junior Champion Female. Reserve Senior Champion Female was Lochton Cauliflower B53 exhibited by Junior members, Danielle, Rachel and Ryan Relf, Ryradan Park Limousins, Wingham, NSW.
Champion Junior Bull was Donna Valley Poll Cocoa Bean making it a Junior Champion double for Greg and Mary Withers of Donna Valley Limousins, Holbrook, NSW. A Malibu son, Lavender Farm Class Act exhibited by Reg and Margaret Bower was the Reserve Junior Champion Bull. Trevor and Debbie Stephens, Greenslopes Limousins, Pittsworth, Qld returned to Sydney after their 2008 success to take out Reserve Senior Champion bull with a Wulfs Rambler son, Greenslopes Commodore.
The pair of bulls class was won by Birubi Limousin stud, Borambola, NSW who also took out the sires progeny class with a team sired by new sire Hunt Mr Jock 44J. Most successful exhibitor was Donna Valley Limousin stud.
