The South Australian Region of the Australian Limousin Breeders Society has 22 members dedicated to breeding high quality Limousin bulls suitable for:

• Production of milk vealers for the domestic market by cross breeding with dairy cross cows. These calves are also ideal for the specialized light veal market.
  
• Production of high yielding heavy steers and heifers by cross breeding with British breed cows.  These are suitable for the  Japanese, Korean and the European Union export markets as well as Australian     hotels and restaurants.  These may be finished on grass or finished in a feedlot for 100 to 150 days.
  
• Production of high content Limousin cattle suitable for the growing market for low fat high yielding carcases from self replacing herds.
