· another breed that is picking from 4.  The simplest solution would appear to be that the best scoring steers from each breed make up the breed team.
· The need for judging dates and times to be rotational for all breeds was raised.  In 2009, the Limousin breed would prefer Saturday or Sunday morning.
· There was no commercial interest at the Show when compared to previous years when beef cattle were in with the steers over Easter.  Beef cattle timings should be changed back to the first week of the show to coincide with Easter.
· Next year the Limousin breed would like to appoint an Associate Judge.  What was the RAS' policy?

· The decision not to allow stall dividers needs to be reviewed.  There are OH & S, promotional and animal welfare reasons to allow safe dividers to be used.
· Judging rings should be oriented East/West rather than the current North/South when two rings are in use.  This would fully utilise the comfortable seating, not have cattle silhouetted and allow much of the crowd to be out of the sun.
· There needs to be a hard copy of the catalogue for the Parade of Champions, Urquhart and Horden Trophies.
· The current method of providing additional sawdust was dangerous.

General Business:
· Annette Tynan asked about the fate of the Young Sires Program.  Alex McDonald indicated that it had been considered not cost effective and would be best left to individual breeders.
· Ray Vlietstra thanked Ian and Donna Robson for taking over the role of Breed Captain.
· Ray Vlietstra raised the issue of ALBS promotion and marketing funding given to the Regions as 'matching funds', not being able to be used for promoting sales.  After discussion it was moved Ray Vlietstra, seconded Ron Andrews that:
'The Board review their decision that matching funds for promotion and marketing not be used for multi-vendor sales.'
